TLM welcomes the arrival of Jonathan Rons

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Jonathan Rons as our new Head of Convenience.

Jonathan joins us from Zapper where he was Business Development Director and brings a wealth of experience with him, having worked in the convenience retail market for more than 25 years.

As Head of Convenience, Jonathan will be developing TLM’s focused convenience strategy.  With huge crossover between our heritage in forecourt retail and standalone convenience retail, we are concentrating heavily on the standalone convenience sector, where we believe our evolution suite is ready to help retailers capture new revenue and margin opportunities and transition their businesses into the digital era.  Already used by several convenience retailers, evolution has already established an enviable footprint in the market.

Talking on his appointment, Jonathan said: “My more recent career really opened my eyes to the extent of the technology challenge facing convenience retailers today.  Unfortunately, the market is full of different solutions and price entry points.  Getting the systems retailers rely on to work together continues to be a challenge, and that’s not going away with the need to provide shoppers with new digital experiences in-store.  TLM puts clever technology within reach of every type of convenience retailer – from local independents to larger multiples. There’s no doubt in my mind that the solutions TLM is offering are something the market needs; we bring the welcomed functionality retailers are looking for”.

The appointment is further evidence of TLM’s commitment to the standalone convenience sector. The coming months will see us share our ground-breaking technologies with retailers looking to the future, where more than ever they need truly connected systems to properly understand business performance, obtain insight on shopper behaviour and deliver richer in-store experiences.
