Happy Birthday to evoPOS®!
As we look ahead to what the future holds, it’s important to also look back and appreciate just how far we’ve come. So, before we blow out the candles and make a wish, here’s a few of our highlights.
Hundreds of UK installs
With any new product, you can be forgiven for wondering how it will be received, but we’ve been delighted with the market reception evoPOS has enjoyed in its first year as customers are increasingly won over by both the user and customer experience made possible by the solution.
As a result, evoPOS is now live or scheduled for deployment at over 200 sites, with plenty more in the pipeline as customers look to modernise the technology powering their stores and forecourts.
Retailers have benefitted from a POS that delivers everything they’re used to and much more besides. From a powerful pricing engine that eradicates double-discounting on promotions, to our queue-busting tablet POS, we’re introducing market-specific, easy-to-use innovation. It’s helping evoPOS users to keep costs in check, drive more sales and create a better in-store experience for their customers.
Some of the world’s leading oil companies are identifying the operational efficiencies of using evoPOS and are earmarking it as one of the recommended POS solutions for their dealers.
BP and Shell are just two of the major names to endorse evoPOS, encouraging users to upgrade and harness the advanced functionality it delivers, as well as instigating a move away from soon-to-be unsupported legacy operating systems such as Windows XP or Windows 7 and 8.
Of course, as a new product, there have been occasional bumps in the road, but rest assured we’ve worked hard to quickly identify and resolve issues as they’ve emerged over the course of the year.
As we continue to roll out new upgrades and enhancements as part of our regular release schedule, the platform is only improving, so there’s no better time to take the next step and integrate evoPOS into your store or forecourt.
As proud as we are of what evoPOS has already achieved, we’re only just getting started and there’s plenty more still to come.
With the number of evoPOS users increasing every day, we are continuing to gain better insights into the features of value and the enhancements retailers want. And thanks to evoPOS being built on an open platform our ability to rapidly develop the POS and release new innovations won’t be held back.
Exciting features like self-scan using a customer’s smartphone are approaching fast and will be available to retailers who want their POS to do more. Likewise, integration with a growing list of third-party applications continue, removing the need for extensive development. It means evoPOS users will enjoy new functionality first, at a rate that matches the demanding world of convenience and fuel retail.
